Our School-Based Water Safety Presentations and Pool Days are designed to equip students with essential lifesaving skills in an engaging and interactive environment.
SCHOOL-BASED WATER SAFETY PRESENTATIONS & POOL DAYS
Aquatics & Education believes drowning prevention and water safety education are most effective through collaborative community efforts and meaningful partnerships. Community education is a central component of this mission, with the organization regularly providing water safety presentations, outreach events, and educational opportunities that help families understand the importance of active supervision, aquatic preparedness, and safe behaviors around water. Through these initiatives, Aquatics & Education strives to expand access to water safety education while empowering families with the knowledge and resources needed to ensure every child has the opportunity to develop life-saving swimming skills

School-Based Water Safety Presentation
Aquatics & Education works alongside schools, early learning centers, local organizations, and public safety partners to bring water safety education directly into the community. These partnerships allow us to reach children and families who may not otherwise have access to swim lessons or water safety programming.
Key Topics & Teaching Objectiv
- Basic water safety rules applicable to pools, lakes, oceans, and other bodies of water. The importance of swimming lessons and continued practice of swimming skills.
- Recognition of water hazards in all aquatic environments. Emergency response actions, including identifying a water emergency, calling for help, and basic rescue techniques, without endangering oneself. o
- Safe behaviors around water, including but not limited to supervision, buddy systems, barriers and alarm systems, water competencies, emergency preparation, and the appropriate use of flotation devices
- These initiatives introduce students to foundational water safety concepts, aquatic confidence, and basic swimming skills in a supportive and engaging learning environment. Our goal is to complement existing educational experiences by providing students with essential life skills that can help reduce the risk of drowning and encourage lifelong participation in aquatic activities.
- Each grade level presentation is differentiated to ensure the content is age-appropriate and engaging.

This community outreach program is made possible through an exceptional partnering with Every Child A Swimmer.
The Water Safety Day at the Pool event builds on this mission by providing school-aged children with hands-on, engaging learning experiences focused on essential water safety skills. During the event, students rotate through interactive stations that introduce both foundational swimming skills and critical water safety concepts. Each station is designed to promote awareness of safe water habits in an age-appropriate and interactive environment, reinforcing both knowledge and practical skill development.
